The Symposium on Temperature and Thermal Measurements in Industry and Science is one of the most important international scientific event held every three years under the auspices of TC12 IMEKO – International Measurement Confederation. 
The first Symposium took place in Karlove Vary, Czechoslovakia, in 1981.
The XIII Symposium – TEMPMEKO 2016 - will be held in Zakopane, Poland between 26.06 and 1.07. 2016.
The Symposium aim is the exchange of information and views among the members of international scientific community, professional metrologists, manufacturers of measurement equipment, engineers and students working in the field of the temperature metrology. 
Main Topics
The main topics of the Symposium sessions will cover a wide range of subjects related to the temperature metrology from fundamental aspects like the new definition of kelvin, thermodynamic temperature determinations, novel fixed points, sensors and methods, techniques for traceable temperature dissemination, as well thermophysical properties and standard reference materials and thermal measurements in different areas:  industry, medicine, nanotechnology, meteorology etc.
The Symposium is organized by the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences – INTiBS under the auspices of TC12 IMEKO – International Measurement Confederation.

The Congress will be held under the patronage of:
- the Ministry of Sciences and High Education,
- the Polish Academy of Sciences – Committee of Metrology and Measurements Systems,
- the Polish Centre for Accreditation,
- the Polish Society for Measurement, Automatic Control and Robotics POLSPAR.

All participants, including Invited Speakers, are requested to register on line.
Please note that the Organizer will issue 2 invoices:
1. Fee for registartion with 23% VAT
2. Accommodation without VAT (polish: VAT Marża).

The Conference venue will be at the Hotel Belvedere which offers suitable conference halls, luxury rooms and good restaurants. The architecture and decor of the hotel interiors refers to 1920s what creates a warm and unique atmosphere.

Certificate of Attendance
Certificate of attendance will be provided to all participants of the Symposium.

Official Language
The official language of the congress is English. No translation will be provided.

The exhibition area will be located next to the Congress halls at coffee break. It is the exhibitor responsibility to deliver promotion and exhibition materials. The information to be printed in conference materials - sponsor description - should be delivered before May 15, 2016.
